In a not totally unexpected move, new Georgia Tech head football coach Geoff Collins has notified the current football staff that he will be bringing in his own batch of assistants to start his tenure. The AJC’s Ken Suguria was the first to report the decision on Monday afternoon. You can read his full report here.
The schematic changes that are coming for the program also made this the most likely outcome for the assistants that are currently on staff. The vast offensive scheme change from a triple option to pro-style along with the defensive scheme changes made the outcome the most likely of options prior to the decision.
