Charlie Thomas matched his career-high with nine total tackles, and set new career marks for himself with two sacks, two tackles for loss and a forced fumble on a big third-down play for the bulls that forced a punt near midfield.
The two tackles behind the line were part of the nine total for the defense which had its best day in tackles for loss since 2016. Thomas’s performance was the first by a Yellow Jacket since the 2012 ACC Championship game when Jeremiah Attouchu had nine tackles and two sacks against Florida State. The last Jacket to have at least 15 tackles and 2 sacks was All American Derrick Morgan in 2009.
