Former Georgia Tech Yellow Jacket Harrison Butker is a member of the PFWA All-Rookie team.
Butker, a member of the Yellow Jackets from 2013 to 2016 was originally drafted by the Carolina Panthers last Spring. Despite having a strong training camp with the 2015 NFC Champions, the Panthers cut Butker. They would later place him on their practice squad.
Butker would be signed to the Kansas City Chiefs active roster at the end of September. In his NFL Debut against the Washington Redskins, the Decatur native hit a game-winning 43-yard field goal.
Butker would go on to have a great rookie season by all accounts, making 38-field goals, a franchise record for the Chiefs.
