Not many freshman wide receivers made the impacts that true freshman Ahmarean Brown made for the Georgia Tech football program in 2019. Brown, a native of Tampa, Florida was an instant impact player on Georgia Tech’s offense. As a true freshman, Brown totaled 21 receptions for 396-yards and seven touchdowns.
Brown’s seven touchdowns tied a program record for a true freshman wide receiver, tying a record set by the legendary Calvin Johnson in 2004.
Perhaps the most impressive part of Brown’s true freshman season was his consistency. The Florida native caught at least one pass in each of the Jackets’ 12 games this season and recorded multiple receptions in five of those games.
