One of Georgia Tech fotoball’s potential breakout stars in 2019 was that of sophomore wide receiver Malachi Carter. After a five reception sophomore season that saw him total 65-yards and a touchdown, Carter had a bigger role in 2019 in Georgia Tech’s new look offense.
After having mostly a blocking role with limited targets in 2018 in the Jackets triple-option offense, Carter had a bigger role available to him as the Jackets opened up the playbook in Dave Patenuade’s pro-style offense.
In 2019, Carter appeared in 10 games for the Yellow Jackets, missing the Jackets last two contests of the season against North Carolina State and Georgia.
