A three-star quarterback recruit coming out of high school, Georgia Tech’s Demetrius Knight made the switch to linebacker last year when he enrolled on The Flats. While not an easy position switch by any means, the switch is one that is seen quite a bit in football including North Carolina’s Chazz Suratt who racked up 100+ tackles this year in his first year at linebacker.
While Knight didn’t rack up 100 tackles this season, he did show some quality abilities at the position. On the season, Knight played in 10 games for the Yellow Jackets and recorded 17 tackles including two tackles for a loss and one sack.
