After redshirting his true freshman season on The Flats, Tobias Oliver entered 2018 as the projected third-string quarterback behind TaQuon Marshall and Lucas Johnson. However, once Johnson went down with a season-ending injury before the season even began, Oliver was slotted as the Jackets second-string quarterback.
Oliver, playing behind Marshall wasn’t expected to see a huge deal of playing time barring injury entering the season. However, the Warner Robins (GA) native ended up playing in all 12 games for the Yellow Jackets, mostly due to his dynamic abilities.
In those 12 games, the redshirt freshman totaled over 1,000 total yards of offense including close to 900 yards on the ground.
