Lamont Simmons played his final season on The Flats in 2018 and the Jacksonville, Florida native put in a quality season. The former USC Trojan ended up playing in ten games for the Yellow Jackets over their 13 games including seven starts.
The 6-foot-2, 197-pound corner didn’t start a game until the Jackets played Clemson. He would go onto start in six of the Jackets last nine games from that point on. Simmons best game of the season came against Clemson when he had 7 tackles and a pass deflection. He also recorded 5 tackles against Bowling Green and 5 tackles against North Carolina.
