Memphis coach Josh Pastner is a focus of Georgia Tech’s coaching search and could have the job wrapped up Friday, according to CBS Sports and ESPN reports.
Pastner has coached at Memphis for seven seasons, starting off with superior results in the first five seasons of his first head coaching job before the Tigers’ fortunes began to decline in the past two.
The Tigers were 24-10, 25-10, 26-9, 31-5 and 24-10 games in his first five seasons, making the NCAA tournament in the 2011, 2012, 2013 and 2014. In the past two seasons, Memphis was 18-14 and 19-15.
