NEW YORK (AP) Adam Smith scored 19 points and Georgia Tech led for most of its 83-73 victory over Arkansas in the semifinals of the NIT Season Tip-Off on Thursday.
Marcus Georges-Hunt also scored 19 points for the Yellow Jackets and combined with Smith to hit eight 3-pointers. Smith, who led the ACC in 3-point shooting last season at Virginia Tech, was 5 of 7 from behind the arc and Georges-Hunt was 3 of 5 from 3-point range.
Charles Mitchell helped Georgia Tech (4-1) control the glass. He tied a career-high with 18 points and grabbed a career-high 18 rebounds and the Yellow Jackets outrebounded the Razorbacks 50-26.
