The Georgia Tech baseball team picked up their second conference victory of 2019 on Saturday in a 7-3 victory over Virginia. The victory ties the weekend series at one-a-piece and sets up an important early season rubber match on Sunday afternoon. For the Yellow Jackets, it was a great bounce-back victory after another heartbreaking one-run loss on Friday night in the series opener.
The Jackets were propelled to victory thanks to a strong start from left-hander Connor Thomas. The junior lefty pitched 7.1 innings allowing 2 runs on 7 hits while striking out 6 throughout his time on the mound.
