It wasn’t an easy but Georgia Tech was able to hold off Georgia Southern on Tuesday night by the slimmest of margins. The Jackets picked up their 11th win of the season in a 7-6 win while handing the Eagles their 8th loss of the season.
The Yellow Jackets pieced together 14 hits in their one-run victory including four hits from DH Michael Guldberg. Guldberg also drove in two RBI for the evening in the victory, leading the teams in both categories. Overall, four other Jackets had multi-hit games on Tuesday night.
Amos Willingham made his third start of the season and pitched well through five innings pitched, allowing just two runs on seven hits.
