Georgia Tech (13-7, 3-4 ACC), got back into Atlantic Coast Conference play Friday night with a 7-6 extra innings win over Wake Forest, fueled by a big 9th inning rally to tie.
The Jackets went into the top of the 9th inning down 3-6 to the Demon Deacons, but rallied back with three runs, and the bullpen held Wake scoreless to take it to the 10th.
Neither team scored in the 10th inning, but a leadoff homer from Tech’s Ryan Peurifoy in the top of the 11th would be the eventual winning run for the Yellow Jackets in a big road win.
