Georgia Tech on Friday night started their journey to a potential National Championship by taking on the No.4 seed of the Atlanta Regional, the Florida A&M Rattlers. The Jackets, the No.3 overall seed in this year’s NCAA Tournament were led by a gutsy pitching performance from junior right hander Amos Willingham on the mound.
Willingham pitched six strong innings for the Jackets, allowing just two runs. The junior got into a few jams throughout his six innings but ultimately was able to strand most of the eight hitters that were allowed on base with him on the mound.
