The last game of Georgia Tech’s three-game series against Miami did not go to plan on Sunday as the Jackets fell to the Hurricanes 9-6 despite a superb comeback effort in the ninth inning. The Jackets entering the ninth inning were trailing 9-2 but were able to climb themselves back in the game before the rally fell short.
Brant Hurter struggled for the first time this season on Sunday allowing six earned runs and seven total over 5.2 innings pitched. He struck out eight and walked two throughout his time on the mound as well. Hurter took the loss in the process, giving him an 0-2 loss after a wasted effort last week against Northwestern when he struck out 14 Wildcats.
