Georgia Tech completed a three-game series sweep of Miami on Sunday afternoon, downing the Hurricanes by a final score of 4-1 at Russ Chandler Stadium.
When you get swept in a series, like at Clemson, the only full antidote is to sweep somebody. Tech would attempt that Sunday. Trying to salvage a game, Miami sent junior RHP Andrew Cabezas (2-2, 3.24) against Tristen English (0-0, 4.2). Cabezas had pitched four relief innings in the first two games last spring, taking the loss in game 2. He had then beaten Tech in the ACC tournament by pitching 6.1 innings of strong relief through the 13th, but today he was let down by his teammates offensively and defensively as the Jackets won and swept the Hurricanes.
