In a season seemingly teeming with surprises for Tech, the NCAA Selection Committee has awarded the Yellow Jackets a top-four national seed in the NCAA tournament.
This means that if Georgia Tech advances past the Regional round, Russ Chandler Stadium will also play host to a Super Regional. One other Regional winner will come to the Thunderdome that is the Rusty C to face the Jackets a best-of-3 series to determine who advances to Omaha and the College World Series. Tech was last named a national seed and Super Regional host in 2010.
