On Friday night, the Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets baseball team dropped the first game of their three-game series against Notre Dame 9-6. It wasn’t the start to the series the Jackets wanted and they needed but they had to change their focuses to Saturday’s late afternoon affair for game two.
The Jackets seemed to put away Friday night’s defeat pretty quickly and well as on Saturday, it was all Georgia Tech in a dominating 11-2 win over the Fighting Irish. Left-hander Connor Thomas was brilliant once again as he pitched seven shutout innings. It increases his shutout inning streak to 16 innings straight after pitching a complete game shutout last weekend against the St.
