Georgia Tech baseball narrowly fell to the Virginia Tech Hokies on Thursday night in the first game of their three-game series over the holiday weekend. Xzavion Curry picked up his second loss of the season despite giving just three runs on the evening. The loss drops his record to 4-2 on the season. Offensively, the Jackets bats were kept silent by Virginia Tech’s pitching staff as they mustered up just five hits. They picked up their pair of runs in the fifth inning and were kept scoreless in the other eight innings.
Only four Yellow Jackets were able to get on base via base hits on Thursday night but the Jackets did show their usual patience at the plate drawing seven walks throughout the game.
