Georgia Tech Athletics: Men's Golf Wins 16th ACC Championship, Albertson Co-Medals

The era of dominance for Georgia Tech's golf team continues.

Georgia Tech's men's golf team won its second straight ACC title this weekend, and its eighth in the last ten years. It took four birdies on a second playoff hole, but the #11 Yellow Jackets successfully defended their ACC Champion status at the Old North State Club in New London, NC.

Senior Anders Albertson was an individual co-champion with an 11-under score of 205 on the weekend, winning a medal alongside Louisville’s Robin Sciot-Siegrist and Virginia Tech’s Trevor Cone. It was Albertson's second individual conference championship, tying the school record previously set by David Duval (1991, 1993) as well as the conference record, including Clemson's Charles Warren and Wake Forest's Ronnie Thomas and Scott Hoch.
