About a week after his father Ted announced his departure from the coaching staff for a new post at North Carolina State, rising sophomore linebacker TD Roof revealed that he too would be leaving the Tech football program. Roof posted a brief note on Twitter on Thursday morning indicating that he would be transferring to Indiana.
Roof, a three-star linebacker from Buford HS in Gwinnett County, was one of three linebackers in Tech’s 2017 recruiting class, along with Bruce Jordan-Swilling and Jaquan Henderson. He was also part of a trio of “legacy” signees in the class, as Roof, Jordan-Swilling, and cornerback Tre Swilling were all the sons of former Tech linebackers.
