When this season began, I speculated that Beau Hankins could be the beneficiary of the MLB spot vacated by the graduating Quayshawn Nealy and departed Anthony Harrell. Hankins, however, had only received sporadic time this season, appearing in two out of four games and making four tackles mostly on special teams.
Then Monday morning, Hankins submitted this tweet:
Soon after was the confirmation from close sources that Hankins would no longer be a member of the Jackets football team, with AJC’s Ken Seguira citing Hankins’ troubles with concussions.
For the team, it means an even further depleted linebacking core.
