Former Georgia Tech B-back Synjyn Days has agreed to an undrafted rookie free agent deal with the Dallas Cowboys, Days’ father Calvin said Saturday evening.
The Cowboys closed the deal with Days just minutes after the draft ended, an indication of the priority the team placed on the running back from Hillgrove High. As a longshot to make the roster, Days is in a relatively good spot. The Cowboys did not draft any running backs and have only four running backs on the roster.
Days put himself into position to be considered with a highly productive finish to his senior season, when he put together three consecutive 100-yard rushing games from the B-back spot, a position he’d moved to only in the preseason.
