College Football Returning to Ireland in 2016?

Those who were bummed out after hearing that the Croke Park Classic wouldn’t happen next year can now breathe a little easier. According to The 42, Taoiseach Enda Kenny (essentially Ireland’s prime minister, for any Yanks reading this) will announce tomorrow that the game between Boston College and Georgia Tech will indeed take place in 2016, just not in Croke Park.

Rather, the game will be played at Aviva Stadium, the same place that hosted Notre Dame and Navy back in 2012. In 2014, Penn State and Central Florida squared off at Croke Park to open their respective seasons.
