Former Georgia Tech baseball great Mark Teixeira and football legend Calvin Johnson were named as a member of the Georgia Sports Hall of Fame‘s class of 2019 Monday morning.
Teixeira, who played at Georgia Tech from 1999-2001, was prolific in just two full seasons in Atlanta, while Johnson played on the Flats from 2004-2006 and turned heads on a national level.
Teixeira’s junior season was shortened by a broken ankle, giving him just 16 games to finish his career in 2001, but in his career, the Baltimore, Maryland native hit .
