Bubba Parham underwent surgery to fix a torn meniscus this Tuesday. Parham decided to come back to Georgia Tech with his extra year of eligibility due to Covid and is now out indefinitely.
Mild meniscus tears in high level athletes usually sideline a player for 4-6 weeks while more serious ones (generally needing surgery) often cause players to miss 3-4 months. Hopefully Parham’s knee will fully recover and we could potentially see him before the end of the season.
Parham was expected to play solid minutes with the backcourt this season. His injury means we’ll likely see more of Kyle Sturdivant, transfer Deivon Smith, and freshman Deebo Coleman.
