WASHINGTON — Listless and adrift for much of the game, Georgia Tech stole out of the second round of the ACC tournament with a stunning comeback. Playing with growing poise and energy, the No. 10 seed Yellow Jackets booted No. 7 seed Clemson with an 88-85 overtime win Wednesday night at the Verizon Center.
Down 67-49 with 8:46 to play, the Jackets caught fire, going on a run of 8-0 to cut the lead to 10 and then forcing overtime with a 10-2 run in the final two minutes of regulation. Tech opened overtime with a 6-1 run to take a lead it never relinquished.
