In front of an assembly of stars from days gone by, Georgia Tech fell completely flat. The Yellow Jackets let go of a 10-point lead with 4:32 to play in losing to Virginia Tech 78-77 at McCamish Pavilion on Saturday afternoon.
Past Tech players from the Jackets’ glory days, in attendance for their annual letterman’s game, witnessed a disheartening defeat that dropped Tech to 11-7 overall and 1-4 in the ACC. The Jackets scored on only 16 of their 40 second-half possessions while the Hokies (12-6, 4-1) beat a path to the free- throw line as they outscored Georgia Tech 45-34.
