I wrote last year about how having a true Nose Tackle in Brandon Adams could transform Ted Roof’s defense.
While Adams didn’t quite get enough snaps to make that come to fruition this year, he did have an impact when he was given the opportunity, and showed great promise for the future.
Adams came to Tech way overweight, listed at almost 350 lbs. Since then, he lost weight and claimed during interviews to be around 335 lbs. Due to conditioning concerns, the coaches kept him confined to late game and goal line duties for most of the season.
