Jasmine Young is the newest member of the Georgia State women's basketball coaching staff, head coach Sharon Baldwin announced Wednesday. Baldwin coached Young for four seasons at East Carolina from 2005-09.
Young comes to Georgia State after serving as an assistant coach at Virginia Union since the 2014-15 season. Under head coach AnnMarie Gilbert, Young helped guide VUU to a No. 2 ranking in 2016-17 as the Lady Panthers wen 28-5 and advanced all the way to the NCAA D-II National Championship game.
“I'm forever grateful to AnnMarie Gilbert,” Young said. “She has helped prepare me for this next step in coaching.
