PEACHTREE CITY, Ga.- The Georgia State women’s tennis team earned its second-straight 4-3 win topping UL Monroe on Saturday to advance to the Sun Belt Conference Championship finals on Sunday.
Playing with just four players due to injuries, the Panthers remarkable run back to the championship has come by forfeiting wins at the No. 5 and No. 6 singles positions, along with No. 3 doubles.
On Saturday, Georgia State took the doubles point with 6-1 and 6-2 wins to start singles play down 2-1.
The Panthers got a 6-1, 6-4 victory from sophomore Damira Muminovic to even the score at 2-2.
