ATLANTA – Georgia State’s women’s basketball team picked up a big win at home Saturday afternoon, defeating rival Georgia Southern 71-56 at the GSU Sports Arena.
Georgia State was strong in nearly every facet of the game Saturday, but was especially dominant on the boards. The Panthers out-rebounded the Eagles 56-24 led by Francesca Minali’s career-high 18 rebounds. Up until the fourth quarter, Minali had more rebounds than the entire Georgia Southern team combined.
Kierra Henry paced the Panthers on offense, finishing with 18 points and eight rebounds. She added four assists and a steal.
