Women's Basketball Rallies from 16-Point Deficit, Falls in Overtime

ATLANTA – Georgia State’s women’s basketball team overcame a 16-point deficit Thursday, but ultimately lost 81-76 to UT Arlington in overtime at the GSU Sports Arena.

Madison Newby scored a career-high 23 points on 9-of-15 shooting and also recorded a double-double as she totaled 12 assists. Janessa Murphy finished with 20 points, five rebounds and four assists and K.K. Williams also ended up in double-figures with 14 points.

Kierra Henry and Francesca Minali led the team with six rebounds each and Henry surpassed 500 career points with 8 points on the night.
