Women's Basketball Earns 70-63 Win to Open Season

ATLANTA - New head coach Gene Hill improved to 1-0 as head coach of the Panthers Wednesday morning in the Sports Arena as GSU defeated UNCG 70-63 to open the 2018-19 season.

Walnatia Wright tallied a double-double, leading GSU in points with 15 and rebounds with 11. Jada Lewis totaled 14 points and a team-high six assists and K.K. Williams also finished in double figures with 13 points.

In her GSU debut, Wright was 6-for-11 from the field. Her double-double came in just 20 minutes of action. Also making her Panthers debut was Allison Johnson.
