SASSUOLO, Italy – Former Georgia State women’s soccer standout and current pro Siobhan Wilson has signed with the Italian pro team Sassuolo Calcio Femminile, joining the Serie A women’s club after a year-long stint with Málaga CF Femenino in Spain.
Wilson joined Sassuolo after helping lead Málaga CF to a First Division promotion in Spain and a return to the Copa de la Reina, a premier annual cup for Spanish women’s association soccer teams. The former Panther made five appearances and totaled 213 minutes on the pitch for Málaga.
She will join a Sassuolo back line that has conceded 16 goals in 12 matches this season and currently sits in sixth place in the league standings.
