ATLANTA -- As part of a series highlighting our alumni, this week we caught up with Ivie Drake, a former Georgia State softball player.
Drake, a native of Carlton, Ga., played for GSU from 2015-18. She finished her illustrious career as the GSU all-time leader in batting average (.409), hits (285), home runs (65), RBI (215), runs scored (214), and walks (177). Drake was named Sun Belt all-conference all four years including three years on the first team. She was a two-time NFCA All-American.
After graduation, Drake returned to her hometown to be a teacher and softball coach.
