ATLANTA -- Leading the Panthers to a series win over Little Rock to end the regular season, Ryan Watson is this week's GSU Student-Athlete of the Week.
Watson saved back-to-back games to give Georgia State a series win over Little Rock and a .500 record in Sun Belt Conference play for the first time since 2015.
The sophomore right-hander pitched two innings in each game and allowed just one run on two hits with four strikeouts.
On Friday, he entered a 3-0 game in the eighth inning and retired six straight, including three strikeouts.
