ATLANTA – Georgia State head coach Rob Lanier announced Wednesday that Georgia forward JoJo Toppin has announced he will be transferring to play for the Panthers. After sitting the 2019-20 season per NCAA transfer rules, Toppin will have three years of eligibility remaining.
Toppin becomes the first signee for Lanier who was announced as Georgia State’s new head coach in April.
In limited action as a freshman, the Norcross High School grad scored 25 points in just 99 minutes of play. He shot 8-of-10 from the free throw line and collected 13 rebounds in just 18 games.
