ATLANTA – Georgia State’s women’s track and field team heads back to Birmingham this weekend for the Samford Open at the Birmingham Crossplex.
The Panthers will be competing against multiple D-I schools from several states around the southeast. Sun Belt foe Little Rock will be in attendance along with Central Arkansas, Arkansas-Pine Bluff, Grambling State, McNeese State, New Orleans, Nicholls State, Austin Peay, Belmont, Lipscomb, Chattanooga, Alabama A&M, Alabama State, Jacksonville State, North Florida and Florida A&M.
GSU will be competing in two events Friday night. The Samford Open kicks off at 9 p.m. ET with the high jump and 200m.
