MIAMI- Georgia State women’s tennis completed their first tournament of the fall schedule at the Miami Fall Invitational this weekend. The heavy rains delayed competition Friday night and the continual downpours canceled the second day of competition. Play resumed outside of draws on Sunday.
Captain Andreea Stanescu and freshman Alexia Alvarez both picked up two wins in singles matches. Overall the Panthers went 9-12 in singles play.
Eva Chivu and Angel Carney picked up the first win in doubles action for the Panthers on Friday. The sophomore and freshman pair split the weekend, dropping their second match on Sunday.
