MOBILE -- Lucas Taylor scored 22 points, Toneari Lane had 20 and four other Panthers scored in double figures to lead Georgia State to a 90-76 win at South Alabama Saturday at the Mitchell Center as GSU moved to 2-1 in Sun Belt Conference play.
Georgia State (7-7, 2-1 Sun Belt) shot a season-high 55 percent from the field, including 10-for-21 on 3-pointers as Lane nailed six treys and Taylor added three. The Panthers shot almost 60 percent in the second half to turn a two-point halftime lead into the 14-point victory.
Jay'Den Turner notched his third straight double-double with 11 points and 10 rebounds.
