ATLANTA -- Georgia State assistant coach Josh Stepp has been chosen to participate in the American Football Coaches Association's (AFCA) 2019 35 Under 35 Coaches Leadership Institute.
Stepp, the Panthers' tight ends coach, just completed his second season on head coach Shawn Elliott's staff. He originally joined the GSU program in 2017, when he coached tight ends and running backs. Before coming to Georgia State, Stepp was a successful prep coach in South Carolina, including four seasons as the head coach and athletic director at Lexington High School. In 2015, he was honored as the 4A Lower State Coach of the Year and Region V Coach of the Year after guiding Lexington to a 13-game winning streak and berth in the state title game.
