ATLANTA -- Brenden Tucker scored 20 points and Jamaine Mann added 18 to lead Georgia State to a 64-60 victory over rival Georgia Southern before a crowd of 3,309 Thursday at the GSU Convocation Center.
In addition to their scoring, Tucker and Mann each made key a defensive play in the final two minutes, and then Tucker sank two free throws with two seconds left to seal the win.
The Panthers (10-13, 3-8 Sun Belt) led 59-55 with less than 90 seconds left when Georgia Southern's Andrei Savrasov launched a 3-pointer from the top of the key with the shot clock running down, but Mann managed to get a hand on the shot for the block.
