ATLANTA-Georgia State will close out the first half of conference play and the final game of a three-game road swing traveling to Statesboro to face in-state rival Georgia Southern on Saturday at 5 p.m. at Hanner Fieldhouse.
Georgia State (13-7, 6-3 Sun Belt) and Georgia Southern (12-8, 6-3 Sun Belt) enter Saturday tied for second-place in the conference standings 1.5 games behind first-place Little Rock.
The Panthers have won three-straight and five of six against the Eagles including the regular season finale last season that snapped a 23-year losing streak in Statesboro and gave Georgia State the Sun Belt Conference title.
