ATLANTA -- It's only mid-February, but spring has sprung for the Georgia State football team.
Exactly 200 days before their season opener (Aug. 31 at Georgia Tech), the Panthers practiced for the first time in 2024, the first of 15 spring workouts. Spring practice will culminate with Georgia State's annual Spring Game, scheduled for Thursday, March 7, under the lights at Center Parc Stadium.
"It's always good to back on the playing field," head coach Shawn Elliott said as he enters his eighth season at GSU. "Good energy out there today. And a lot of new faces, which is good - it's fun to coach new players because they're all so eager to learn.
