ATLANTA – Emily Soles guided Georgia State to a 5-2 win in the first game of a doubleheader against South Alabama Saturday, but the Jaguars claimed the second game 14-6.
Soles got the start in the circle for the Panthers and was impressive in the first game of the day. Soles went the distance for her second complete game of the year, holding the Jaguars to two earned runs.
GSU jumped out to a 2-0 lead on a two-run double by Arden Jobe in the bottom of the second.
After USA tied the game at 2-2 in the third, the Panthers retook the lead with a pair of runs in the fourth.
