Georgia State travels to Tampa, Fla., this weekend to play four games at the USF-Rawlings Classic. The Panthers will face USF Friday (5:30 p.m.) and Saturday (3 p.m.). GSU will play Virginia Tech Saturday (10 a.m.) and Sunday (9 a.m.).
The Panthers picked up their first win of the season last weekend in a 9-2 victory over Eastern Illinois at the Samford Classic.
Baylee Sexton was on fire in the leadoff positon at the Samford Classic. The slapper went 8-for-15 (.533) at the plate with a double, two RBI, and four runs scored.
