CONWAY, S.C. – Georgia State lost 5-0 to Coastal Carolina in the final game of the series in Conway Sunday afternoon.
The Chanticleers took a 1-0 lead in the bottom of the first which proved to be enough as the Panthers mustered three hits on the day, but no runs.
CCU hit a two-run homer in the second and a solo shot in the sixth and scored an unearned run in the fourth with some help from a GSU error.
Emily Soles came on in relief for GSU and pitched five innings. Soles allowed one earned on four hits and struck out three.
