ATLANTA - Georgia State dropped Game 3 of the series against Appalachian State 7-0 Sunday afternoon at the Bob Heck Softball Complex.
The Panthers managed six hits but stranded six runners on base in the contest.
Appalchian State delivered the big blow in the top of the third with a grand slam by Mary Pierce Barnes. Barnes finished the game 2-for-4 with five RBI.
With the loss, Georgia State dropped the series two games to one against App State.
Next up for the Panthers with a trip to Columbia, S.C., to take on South Carolina Wednesday.
