TAMPA, Fla. - Georgia State's softball team was defeated 4-0 by host South Florida Friday night at the USF-Rawlings Classic.
Emily Soles and Savannah Freeman held USF to four runs on seven hits, but the Panthers managed just one hit themselves, stranding three baserunners in the ballgame.
South Florida scored one run in the first and added two in the third to take a 3-0 lead. The Bulls added an insurance run in the sixth.
Georgia State falls to 1-10 on the season and will play two games tomorrow as the USF-Rawlings Classic continues.
